At GetSmartWP (https://getsmartwp.com), we want every customer to feel completely safe when trying our WordPress themes and plugins. That is why we offer a No-Questions-Asked 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: if, for any reason, you are not happy with your purchase within the first 14 days, you can request a full refund — no justification required.

This Refund Policy is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.


1. The 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

You may request a full refund within 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the date of your original purchase, for any reason.

  • The 14-day window starts on the date of the successful transaction, regardless of whether you have downloaded, installed, or activated the Product.
  • You do not need to justify your decision. “I changed my mind”, “it’s not what I expected”, “I couldn’t get it to work”, or “I simply don’t like it” are all perfectly valid reasons.
  • Requests made after day 14 will no longer be eligible for a refund under this guarantee.

2. What Counts as an Eligible Refund

Within the 14-day window, any reason is an eligible reason. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Change of mind — you simply decided the Product is not for you.
  2. Critical defect — the Product contains a bug or error that prevents it from working as described.
  3. Substantial misrepresentation — the Product’s features, compatibility, or behavior differ substantially from its sales page or documentation.
  4. Incompatibility — the Product does not work well with your WordPress/PHP version, hosting, or other plugins/themes.
  5. Difficulty of use — you find the Product too difficult to install, configure, or customize for your needs.
  6. Duplicate purchase — you accidentally bought the same Product or license twice.
  7. Unauthorized transaction — a verified unauthorized purchase using your payment method.
  8. Any other reason — even if it is not listed above.

Friendly suggestion: Before asking for a refund, feel free to contact our support team at hello@getsmartwp.com. Most installation, configuration, or compatibility issues can be solved in a few minutes at no additional cost. But if you still want a refund afterwards, that is absolutely fine — no hard feelings.


3. Limits of the Guarantee

To keep this generous policy sustainable and fair for everyone, the following limits apply:

  1. Expired 14-day window — requests submitted more than 14 calendar days after the original purchase date are not eligible.
  2. License renewals — renewal fees (annual updates & support extensions) are non-refundable once processed, since the service year has already been activated at the time of renewal.
  3. Repeated refund abuse — the guarantee is intended for honest, good-faith customers. Behavior such as the following may result in a denied refund, account suspension, and a ban from future purchases:
    • Buying the same Product, refunding it, and buying it again multiple times (buy → refund → buy → refund).
    • Buying several Products, refunding all of them after extracting/mirroring their code, assets, or documentation.
    • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a previous refund ban.
    • Any other pattern that, in our good-faith judgment, clearly abuses this policy.
  4. Piracy, license sharing, or unauthorized redistribution of your license key — evidence of this will result in an immediate denial of the refund and may lead to legal action.
  5. Chargebacks filed without contacting us first — if you open a chargeback with your bank or payment provider before giving us a chance to resolve the issue, you waive your right to a refund under this policy. We reserve the right to dispute the chargeback and disable the associated license.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please send an email to hello@getsmartwp.com with the subject line:

Refund Request - [Your Order ID]

Your email should include:

  • Order ID (from your purchase receipt email)
  • Registered email address used during purchase
  • Product name(s) you are requesting a refund for
  • A short reason (optional but appreciated — it helps us improve our Products)
  • Confirmation that you have uninstalled (or will uninstall) the Product upon approval

You do not need to provide screenshots, error logs, or any technical evidence to qualify for a refund within the 14-day window.


5. Refund Review and Processing Time

5.1 Review

  • We will review your request and communicate a decision within 1–5 business days of receiving it (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays in Indonesia).
  • We may send a short reply to confirm receipt or to ask a non-blocking question (e.g., which email/Order ID the purchase was made under), but additional evidence is not required to approve the refund.

5.2 Processing

  • Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method (PayPal or Stripe).
  • On our side, refunds are initiated within 1–5 business days after approval.
  • The actual time for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer, and may take a few additional business days beyond our processing.
  • We do not issue refunds in cash, store credit, or to a different payment method unless legally required.

5.3 Currency

  • Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original payment.
  • If currency conversion was applied by your bank or payment provider, the exact amount credited back in your local currency may differ slightly due to exchange-rate fluctuations. GetSmartWP is not responsible for such differences.
  • We do not deduct any fees from your refund — you get the full amount you originally paid to us, in the original currency.

6. What Happens After a Refund Is Approved

Once a refund is issued, the following applies immediately:

  1. Your license key will be deactivated and can no longer be used to receive automatic updates, validate installations, or request support.
  2. You are asked, in good faith, to uninstall and remove the Product from any website, server, or local environment where it was installed.
  3. You will lose access to paid services attached to that Product — including automatic updates, premium support, and any bundled add-ons.
  4. You may not use the GetSmartWP name, logo, or brand to promote, redistribute, or otherwise present the refunded Product as “official” (see the Trademark section of our Terms of Service).
  5. Re-activating or fraudulently continuing to use your refunded license key after a refund is considered a misuse of our licensing system and a breach of our Terms of Service.

7. Partial Refunds

In some limited situations, we may offer a partial refund, for example:

  • When a bundle contains one item with a confirmed defect while others work properly.
  • When an upgrade (e.g., Single Site → Developer License) was purchased and only a portion of the added value has been used.
  • When a compromise can be reached in good faith.

Partial refunds are at the sole discretion of GetSmartWP and are offered on a case-by-case basis.


8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Before filing a chargeback or dispute with PayPal, Stripe, or your bank, please contact us first — we are almost always able to resolve issues directly and faster than the dispute process.

  • Unjustified chargebacks may result in immediate suspension of your account and deactivation of all associated licenses.
  • We may contest chargebacks with supporting evidence (proof of delivery, license activation logs, email correspondence).
  • If a chargeback is resolved in our favor, any incurred dispute fees may be billed to you before your account can be reinstated.

9. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy affects the statutory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence (for example, the EU Consumer Rights Directive, UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, or Indonesia’s Consumer Protection Law (UU No. 8/1999)).

Note on digital content: In many jurisdictions (including the EU), the statutory right of withdrawal for digital products may be waived once you download or begin using the Product. By completing your purchase and downloading the Product, you acknowledge and agree to this waiver where it applies, without affecting your rights under Sections 1–2 of this Policy.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted on this page. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

Refund requests will be evaluated under the policy in effect at the time of your purchase.
